Panama with no water...

Yesterday, there was no water in the city of Panama, Rep of Panama... The people that lived in houses, had no water for the day, as a matter of fact, school was almost canceled because of this. Actually, we left school at 11:00 when we always leave at 12:00...

But this is off topic.

Some areas of Panama still do not have water and people are suffering a lot with all the lack of water. Lots of these problems of water are related to the rain that has been happening in Panama in the last months or so... But I am sure the government will put pressure into this so its solved...

I hope this gets to be true...!

Peopel want to start minining in the province of Veraguas

The province of Veraguas (Western Panama) wants to be a mining place for gold, but people are asking themselves questions and they are also not sure if this is a good idea.

My Opinion: In my opinion, this is not a good neither it is a bad idea… The thing that needs to be done is, mine gold with a lot of caution and take care of the natural environment. Also, some people are saying that they are not sure, because this can affect the ecosystem and the natural environment of the country and the province in general.  I think people should do it, but with precaution and not damage the environment… I hate to say that it will in some way but, we need to try and do it with as little pain as possible…

Chiriqui into Soccer...

Pananama has never been a country with so much Soccer history, but the province of Chiriqui is playing soccer and they are not doing so bad, in my opinion…

My thoughts: I think that Panam is STILL not a country with a good soccer team, but in the future it will be, and its getting better every day. I really hope that my country, Panama, does better and will get to have good teams of soccer and international good players…

That will come with time…

Mejorana Festival Panama

Guararé

The Festival of “The Mejorana” is a festival that celebrates in the countryside of Panama, especially in the Azuero Peninsula, which is in the south of Panama. From September 23 to the 28 in the town of “Guararé” in the province of “Los Santos”, it is a great way to learn about Panamanian folklore and traditions.

What is it?
La Mejorana is named after the Panamanian instrument (similar to the guitar) and every year it brings people from all over the country and all over the world.
Be sure to ask for a hotel, because they will fill up quickly…
All Panamanian festivities and carnivals are not complete without a “queen” or reina. If you plan to come this year, do it, it will be worth your while.

Bocas Del Toro and its Fair...

Bocas del Toro, a province in Western Panama, is looking forward to its fair of “el mar” of the sea, in Spanish. “Bocatoreños” or people from Bocas del Toro, are in the Caribbean or Atlantic side of Panama and they have beautiful beaches, so there is a lot of potential over there. The tropical climate and the temperate waters are delicious for some beautiful vacations. So this year, they look forward to making 1 million dollars in their fair…We hope that is true for this Caribbean Province of Panama…

Metro in Panama

If you are reading the newspaper of Panama, as we may know it, they are planning on making a Metro in the city… some people support it while others don’t. People say that the earth in Panama is too soft and it wouldn’t be a good idea for a metro, but some say it’s the best idea Panama can have because of the transportation Crisis that the country is facing. The transportation crisis in Panama is severe, many buses are just warned out and they are old and stinky… YUK! But that will start to get better as time passes by…

So what is the article about? The article is related to the metro as you may know it already, but, the president is saying that the metro is being planned now and that it will come soon… We hope this to be true.

Sincerely,
Rene

Panama Canal

When we think of Panama, the first things that come to our minds are: The Canal and Central America. But the Canal is much more than a strip of manmade structure, it is the place where the ships transit and go to south and North America.

What is it?

The Panama Canal is where are the ships transit day and night, night and day… They have to pay first to go into the canal. The most amazing thing, is to see the mules and the ship passing through the gates… The water may be a little dirty, but it’s nothing to be surprised of. It’s always been like that.

The Panama Canal has been ranked as one of the wonders of the Modern World, but I find it actually to be rather not THAT interesting… Is just seeing ships pass through the gates slowly, nothing that impressive, in my opinion. The Canal produces a lot of Panamanian GDP, for the income of the country… and in 2014 when the third phase is constructed; more growth and development will come to Panama. For now, we will have to wait.

Panama Canal...

"Hotel Central Avanza" (Central Avenue Hotel of Panama)

The Hotel of the Central Avenue in Panama's Casco Viejo District, is still under construction but, at least, it is going fast and not slow. The Hotel will be in a great point in the city because it is in a place where the historical past comes and goes with you everywhere you go in the distirct.

Panama's economy is growing!

Panamanian economy is once again flourishing again, there are a lot of constructions going on in the city and in the countryside of Panama. Many Panamanians are seeing this as a good sign, which it is… But we have to consider also that our growth is clean and efficient. What I mean by this is that it has all to be controlled and stable.  This year, it is planned that it will grow at least 6.1% and it will keep up with it. This is obiously a good sign… Buildings are also everywhere, they recently opened…

Comment… and follow….

Cruz Azul @ Panama

Cruz Azul, the Mexican Team of soccer, played here at Panama two days ago... they kicked panamanians in the butt because they won 6-0... what a big FAIL... I didn't get to go see it, but, I heard that many panamanians were dissapointed with their team (Árabe Undio) which to be sencire, is not good at all.

But that is life...
